FEDERAL CARBON TAX REMOVAL

EFFECTIVE APRIL 01, 2025

THIS CHARGE WILL BE REMOVED

On March 15, 2025, the Government of Canada announced that it will be removing the Federal Fuel Charge. Foothills Natural Gas Co-op Ltd. will no longer be required to report on or pay the charge for all types of fuel, including

marketable natural gas, consumed after March 31, 2025.

Please note the March 2025 Gas Bill that is received in early April, will still include the Federal Carbon Tax at $ 4.095/GJ
